Structural assessment and design for the rehabilitation of the Belle Isle Conservatory Palm House and Aquarium located on Belle Isle in Detroit. RSE’s work involved replacing the steel trusses supporting the glass walls and roof of the Palm House dome – built in 1904 – and assessing the existing Aquarium structure, the oldest continually operating public aquarium in North America.
